Sowar Ahmad Shah was later commissioned in 1914. The 1915 Indian Army List shows Shah entered service on 20/11/1893 and commissioned Jemadar on 31/8/1914. War service is shown as Tirah Expeditionary Force, 1897-98, medal with clasps Punjab Frontier1897-98 & Tirah.

Jemadar Khushal Chand served with the 10th Lancers 1903-1918 and in 1922 with the 4th Duke of Cambridge’s Own, Hodson’s Horse.

In 1922 he is shown with the 23rd Cavalry
