2nd Class Badge with Brilliants, instituted in 1878. Breast Star, 75x55 mm, GOLD, set with Brilliants,
red enameled, finest Guillochée work under the red translucent enamel, gilt center medallion with the
Sultan's tughra within a green enameled outer circlet with applied small cartouches with mottoes in
gold, Arabic lettering, on reverse, applied crescent/star within laurel wreath, red enameled, hinged
crescent/star suspension with ribbon ring, original ribbon. A very rare insignia of this important Ottoman
order in extremely fine condition and of superb jeweler's quality!
